Earlier in the Summer and now again for the last few nights we’ve seen bats flying and feeding on Cowbar. The increased plant life and habitat is providing more insect food for them. I had wondered firstly what species they were (they’re so fast it’s impossible for a novice to tell) and secondly where they could be roosting. Then a friend recently moved into a house in nearby Dalehouse and by doing this has maybe answered both my questions with over 80 Pipistrelle and Brown Long Eared bats calling her roof space home! It’s so wonderful to have them here and so pleasing to watch them.
